This coming week I hope to get the septic system in, then the well. Grading of the site and the gravel driveway will go in after that. Hey Boomer: I hear I have at least 4 deer who visit my property. I think that isn't as many as you have up there in the PoKeeNos, but it's only just a tiny lot compared to your spread.
I checked on the house on Saturday to find that vinyl and hardwood floors are in. The carpeting in the bedrooms is next; then the baseboards and a final painting. So far everything looks good.
Now, for the quickie quiz: what color will I paint the front door? The winner will know the answer when the door has been painted and I post it on this blog. If I have already told someone the color, that person is automatically disqualified and may not post his/her guess. I will also publish the prize at that time.
On Saturday, April 25, I will be assisting at a yard sale for Finfully. On this day (rain date is Sunday) Finfully and everyone else in Wenonah, N.J. will be having yard sales. So whoever needs great things, please drive on over to Wenonah and buy lots of Finfully's stuff. When hers is gone, then buy from other yard sale addresses. Thanks from Finfully and Yours Truly.

Oops - It seems I already told you of the deer in my yard. Pardon the repetition.
Door Color: some shade of green -- like maybe one of my all time favorites-- stagnant green? But I don't know why I even bother because I know Gemma will win.
I think a black door would look gorgeous.

Red
I agree...a dark dark shade of green, like a forest green or even deeper.
I'm getting a little scared about the upcoming yard sale....I think I want some body guards.
I have to high school girrel friends of my own (Interboro class of...oh never mind that...) already vying to beat the other to my house and get first dibs on the furniture in the sale. It could get ugly.
Nah, now I'm changing my mind....since everyone would expect a dark green door to compliment the browns and tans and go with the woodsy setting, I think you need to shake em up by painting a color totally unexpected...afterall, it's just a door, not the permanent siding....
How about a navy or even a steely, deep ocean blue or gray blue?
Is this question posted to assist you in CHOOSING a color for the door or because you've already picked a favorite door color and just want to see who guesses it? Does the winner get an invite for dinner? In that case, I'll just keep suggesting colors....
sunset red? colonial gold? Jaw's tooth white?
I agree w. Cathy. RED, dammit, FIRE ENGINE RED! That's what our new door is(I believe you've seen it!)and I just Looooove it! Hint for you---we had our steel door painted at an auto body shop. Once and done; it'll last forever. And it is bee-yoo-ti-ful.
Ha, Flourescentia, you are so funny. Gemma will probably NOT win this one, since my favorite color is so outrageous. I shall tell Boomer about the deer.
Turquoise.
Eggplant
Even though I like red, Fifi likes Purple.
