A Very Pleasant Surprise Indeed

Yesterday afternoon I received a call from Juanita. She had been in North Carolina and, on the spur of the moment, decided to drive on up to Fin's in N.J. She decided that she had to stop to see my new house in person. So I told her to come on up and stay over at my place. She rolled into town at 8:30pm. Eleanor, my cousin, welcomed her in and we had a nice catch up on the news and made plans to see the house this morning.

This morning we had breakfast at the Milford Diner and proceeded to the house. We got there as the contractors were beginning to clean up the site and the interior of the house. The carpet contractor arrived and installed the carpeting in the three bedrooms.(photo tomorrow)

Now, I'm not supposed to say this, but, although Juanita might not have been the first friend or family member to visit my house, she WAS the first to try out the new toilet.

Fifi's house is spectacular! I don't think she should ever move into it. She should keep it in the pristine condition it is now, with everything new and unused, except for the one water closet.

And what a gorgeous setting among the trees.

Feef,

I'm thinking I HAVE to have those beeee-u-tee-ful hardwood floors....and after scrolling the DNREC webpage and seeing the 452 pages of beach preservation permit application, I'm starting to think that trying to build a beach house is a BIG mistake and I oughta buy the woodled Milford lot next to you....

we can try to escape civilization (with our own little plot of nature) but you can't escape regulation....hhhaaaaahhhhhhh

(That's a big Charlie Brown) sigh....

I am jealous that 'Nita has seen your house, and I haven't. But that should all change the week of June 8-12!! See ya!
